Nine hardy souls enjoyed a Sunday afternoon stroll from Stoke by Nayland, on 14 February 2010. The circular route took us along the banks of the River Box, through Thorrington Street, then near the River Stour past Tendring Hall Park (the Hall, built about 1784 and designed by John Soane, was demolished in 1955). St Valentine’s Day Ramble

MiCS are organising a St Valentine’s day ramble commencing 1.30 on Sunday week (14 February) at Stoke by Nayland meeting at The Crown Inn car park (Park Street, CO6 4SE) weather permitting.

Men come along with wives and or girlfriends. The ramble is about 4.5 miles and should take about 2 hours back in time to wet your whistle at the Crown.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD 2009 SUDBURY EXPORT WAREHOUSE REPORT

Hello, everyone,

Well, what a campaign it was this year! With one day to spare, we ended up back in “our” lovely warehouse courtesy of Bob Bettis. It felt as if we had come home! The ever growing team spent the first 2 weeks sorting fillers and wrapping empty boxes …. then the floodgates opened and the shoeboxes came in their hundreds … thousands, goodness, it was so amazing. Following on from our last concert with “Rubenstein Trunk”, another concert in aid of Chilton Church has been organised for next Saturday 19th September at 6.00pm.
