Can you help?
‘I am working with a Sudbury resident who would greatly benefit from moving some items from her home to the local dump.
We are looking for someone with a van who could drive it with items on board, to the dump.
We will not be asking the driver to load and unload items.
We are asking if the person could volunteer their time and use of the van but we can reimburse the petrol money.

The Sudbury Fire Trust is now fully operational and ready to receive requests for assistance. Chairman of the Trust Tim Ayrton said “We are keen to hear from anyone who has suffered loss as a result of the fire. Please contact the trust in writing enclosing as much detail as possible about your situation.”

Understanding Islam – a visit to Muslim Friday prayers.
On 22nd May 10 of us from local churches, including 2 retired ministers and 2 women, were invited to observe local Muslims at worship. It was a very moving experience – see our responses . See also the Muslim Council of Britain statement on ISIS, which is fully supported by Imam Bashir.

A thought on the election.
A few weeks ago Bishop Graham of Norwich Cathedral in his BBC Radio 4 morning slot talked of the transient nature of the election vote X and the eternal X of the Easter message.
Our country seems to be ruled by election promises that are rarely kept and few bring about real changes of truth and justice in our country. Only by turning to Jesus can promises and justice prevail.
