Outing to Leicester

Sudbury History have spare places for an outing on Thursday 18th July, to Leicester – Richard III Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre showcases the life of King Richard III and the story of how his remains were discovered in 2012. The centre opened in 2014 on the site of Greyfriars, the medieval friary in whose church the King was buried. The cost of transport is £15. The entrance fee is to be confirmed. A Centre Manager is required by a small but busy Christian charity on a part-time one year (renewable) contract, starting on 9th September 2019.

The Charity provides a number of community based services, including bereavement support for adults and children together with ministering to families and others facing a range of difficult situations.

CTiS Prayer Supper 11 July 2019

Supper @ 19.00 (meeting starts 19.45)

The above is being hosted by St Andrews Church but there is a need to choose your food option in advance!!

A sit-down meal will be provided with a choice of BBQ pork loin, BBQ salmon or cheese and tomato tart (veggie option).   All served with salad, coleslaw, potato salad and French bread.   If you have other dietary requirements, please let us know.

Thank you all so much for your fantastic response to our recent urgent appeal for food. We received an extra 1,500 items in May compared to April which has just about kept up with demand. Please keep donating what you can as the demand remains high (see poster for this month’s figures).

We have now opened a new Donation Station at Sainsbury’s Sudbury, so we are hoping to receive additional items regularly from there.

An evening of storytelling, music, comedy – fun, encouraging, inspiring, practical …

This coming Tuesday, 26th March, Jeff Lucas and Searchlight Theatre Company are coming to St Peters Church in Sudbury with their production of “There are no Ordinary People” which is about the life of Barnabas, a much neglected character who can teach how to live the ordinary life well.
