Good Friday Walk of Witness leaves Rodbridge at 09.15 on Good Friday and ends at the URC in Sudbury in time for their 10.30 service. For more info speak to Peter on 01787 249828.

Good Friday afternoon at Long Melford

On Good Friday afternoon (29th March) between 2.00pm – 3.00pm, Holy Trinity Church will welcome the ‘Kirbye Voices’ who will present a Devotional Service using music and readings. 

Among the works to be performed are Schutz’s St John Passion (with Paul Harrison as Evangelist), Lauridsen’s ‘O Magnum Mysterium’, and extracts from J.S. Bach’s Cello Suites played by cellist Yalda Davis. 

There will be a retiring collection after the Service.

Gift Aid changes & Small Donations Scheme

There are two significant changes from next month. I suggest you check that your treasurer is aware.

The claims process for the existing Gift Aid scheme is affected. The new Small Donations Scheme could, under certain circumstances, be worth up to £1,250 per year to churches and other charities.

The Church of England has provided guidance on its Parish Resources website but the information applies more generally.

Day of Encouragement

80 hours of prayer @ Living Waters Fellowship.

The Church will be open from 10am –8pm each day 23-30 March for anyone to come and pray for Sudbury and surrounding areas.
