Your prayers for the following situation would be appreciated:

One of our long term clients is a Polish guy called Michal. He has had a difficult life in many respects and has been recently diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. This is a bone condition which is very painful and causes the vertebrae to fuse together. He came to England to work and try and pay off his huge debt mountain which is a fairly monumental task. Unfortunately, he is now unable to work and has failed the new Habitual Residency Test which has recently been introduced by the government to prevent people from coming here to work and then claiming off the state. Michal has fallen foul of this new rule and is now unable to claim any public funds at all. This will affect not only his benefit but also his council flat/council tax relief as well.

He is very sad and wants to stay as his girlfriend is here. We do not know what will happen to Michal in the long term but in the short term we are setting up a fund at Number72 to help pay for his food etc. A Polish charity is appealing Michal’s case but it will not be resolved quickly.

Please pray that God’s will for Michal’s life will become clear. Also that Michal will respond to God and read the Polish Bible he has been given.
