PLEASE MAKE AN EFFORT TO ATTEND CTiS&D’S AGM – meet new ministers, elect a new chairman, discuss the future of Kettle & Fish, listen to a young Christian speak of his work amongst Palestinians and much more. The meeting is on Wednesday 30 September at St John’s Methodist Church Hall, York Road, Sudbury, at 7.30pm, with refreshments from 7pm.

Canoeing down the Stour for Christian Aid

On Thursday 13 August, ten people, including Revd John Boardman, Simon Snell, and teenagers Judith and Matthew Gill from All Saints’ Church in Sudbury, arrived safely in Bures after paddling from Sudbury. This year the event supports a Christian Aid project to make pregnancy and birth safer, prevent HIV, reduce underage pregnancies and tackle gender-based violence for over 200,000 indigenous women and girls in Honduras and El Salvador.

Folk Concert at St George’s, Shimpling

Saturday 13 June Thank you for all who supported and came to the folk concert at St George’s Church, Shimpling on Saturday 13 June. It was an enjoyable evening with about 90 or so people in attendance, doubling our audience from last summer’s folk concert. We raised a grand total of £607.88 of which £303.94 will go to the Milkmaid folk arts project and their plans to build a folk arts centre, close to Bury St Edmunds railway station ,which will ..read more

Canoe for Christian Aid: On Thursday 13 August there will be another sponsored canoe trip down the River Stour from Sudbury to Bures. Open Forum June 2015

The June Open Forum will be on Thursday 25th June at St George’s Church, Shimpling. There will be a barbecue from 6.30pm, and the main meeting will begin at 7.30pm. The evening will include a presentation on The Porch Project which runs at St Mary’s Church, Hadleigh, Suffolk.

CTiS&D United Service for Christian Aid Week

The service is on Sunday 10th May at All Saints’ Church, Sudbury, at 6.30 pm. The speaker is Simon Snell, Regional Coordinator for Suffolk. Please see Service poster 2015 .

Election Hustings – on 29th April The 2015 General Election Hustings, organised by Churches Together in Sudbury & District, will be held in St Peter’s Church, Sudbury, on Wednesday evening, 29th April, at 7.30pm.

All the declared candidates [Jane Basham (Labour), James Cartlidge (Conservative), Robert Lindsay (Green), Grace Weaver (Lib Dem) and Steven Whalley (UKIP)] have confirmed that they will attend, and any others who may be nominated will be invited as well.
