Every Thursday evening between 6 pm and 7 pm at St Gregory’s Church a small group gather together to pray. The main part of this time (25 minutes) is spent in ecumenical Christian meditation following the teaching of John Main. We would love more people to join us.

This Saturday, 10 January, we meet at St John’s Methodist Church, Sudbury, from 8 to 9.30am for a light breakfast, a time of fellowship and a time for prayer.
Do join us if you can. You will be most welcome, whether you have never been before, or have not been for a couple of years, or are a regular!

Kettle & Fish is a Christian Community Café. Volunteer helpers come from various local churches. It is usually open every Thursday except the first in the month.
Kettle & Fish will next be open on Thursday, 15 January. Please do drop in and see us then. We will be serving the same delicious food and providing the same friendly welcome as always, 10am to 1.30pm at Suffolk Road Church, next to Aldi.

The Revd Tom Mumford has been appointed Chaplain to support the Bishop of Selby in her role as Lead Bishop for the Diocese of York.
Tom was Assistant Curate at St Gregory’s in Sudbury from 2019 to 2021, before taking up his current position as Vicar of Ipswich Minster (formerly St Mary le Tower). He will be moving in March.

Stour Valley Vineyard Church is seeking a new Senior Pastor to lead our church into a new season of mission. We are looking for someone who is a spiritual leader, passionate bible communicator, and a nurturing pastor.
This is a full-time position, though part-time / bi-vocational/ job-sharing could be considered.

We have launched our campaign to renew Sudbury’s registration as a Fairtrade town. The first meeting was small (7 people) but positive. Now we’re looking to grow the Steering Group and widen the representation to include schools, churches, businesses, community organisations and the Town Council.
The next meeting will be on Thursday 15 January 2026 at 7.30 pm at St John’s Methodist Church. Could you join us there?
