The Sudbury History Society has seats available for an outing to Saffron Walden on Friday, 21st August, leaving the Bus Station in Sudbury at 9.30am, arriving back in Sudbury around 4.30pm.  

It is a free and easy day with the option of visiting Bridge End Gardens, the church, the Fry Art Gallery, and the Museum or simply enjoy the architecture and atmosphere of the lovely old Essex town. The cost is £18 for the transport. If you would ..read more

Prayer Breakfasts take a break during August. They resume on Saturday 5 September, when we are at St John’s Methodist Church, Sudbury. We will meet from 8 to 9.30am for a light breakfast, a time of fellowship and a time for prayer.

Do join us if you can. You will be most welcome, whether you have never been before, or have not been for a couple of years, or are a regular!

Kettle & Fish is a Christian Community Cafe. Volunteer helpers come from various local churches. It is normally open on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

Kettle & Fish is not open this week. It is next open on Thursday, 13 August. Please do drop in and see us then. We will be serving the same delicious food and providing the same friendly welcome as always, 9.45am to 1.15pm at Suffolk Road Church, next to Aldi.

Tom’s funeral will be at West Suffolk Crematorium, St. Edmund’s Chapel, IP28 6RR, on Tuesday 18th August 2026, at 3 pm.  The family invite you to attend a small reception afterwards which will be at Painters, 43 Friars Street, Sudbury, CO10 2AG, from 4 pm to 6:30 pm, to continue sharing memories of Tom. Parking in town.

Some of the envelopes that were delivered went to one of the Sudbury drop-off points, which together received £527, while in Newton, there was a drop-off point at The Saracens’ Head, which received £55.

Our final total for 2026 was £2,606, made up of:?
