MiCS – Men in Christ Sudbury – are organising a St Valentine’s day ramble commencing 1.30 on Sunday week (14 February) at Stoke by Nayland meeting at The Crown Inn car park (Park Street, CO6 4SE) weather permitting.
Men come along with wives and or girlfriends. The ramble is about 4.5 miles and should take about 2 hours back in time to wet your whistle at the Crown.

The Alpha Course has attracted many thousands of people with its easy-going relaxed approach to exploring the big questions of life.
Christians in Sudbury are running an Alpha Course at Number 72 North Street, starting on 16th February.

The next CAP Money course is due to start at Number Seventy Two on Wednesday 3rd Feb at 7.30pm. It is a free 3 week course run by trained volunteers from local churches.

This is a national initiative encouraging schools, churches, workplaces and any other organisation to host a fair trade event anytime during Fairtrade Fortnight (22 February to 7 March). All are invited to Afternoon Tea at St Andrew’s Church on Thursday 4 March between 2 pm and 4 pm. For more information on this campaign to raise awareness of fair trade issues, or to arrange your own event, please see the Tradecraft website.

The Salvation Army, despite suffering severe damage to its own buildings, is already at work there and is sending more help. For more information follow the links from www.salvationarmy.org.uk which includes a PowerPoint display calling people to pray for those who are suffering. Meanwhile, you are invited to a local event being run by the Salvation Army to raise funds.
