Survey on Youth Volunteering Across Suffolk
I am contacting you to invite your organisation to take part in a survey about volunteering opportunities for young people under 18 in Suffolk.
The aim of the survey is to better understand whether voluntary and charitable organisations currently involve young volunteers, what types of roles may be suitable, and what support organisations may need to expand youth volunteering opportunities.
There is a growing demand for volunteering opportunities for young people, including from schools, colleges, Duke of Edinburgh awards and other schemes. Volunteering is an excellent way for young people to give back to their community and gain skills that will support them into their adult lives.
Your feedback will help identify opportunities, barriers and practical resources that could support more young people to get involved in volunteering across Suffolk.
The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete.
You can access the survey here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/VolOppsforYoungPeople .
Please complete it by 5pm Friday 31st July 2026.
Please feel free to share this survey with colleagues and others in your network involved in volunteer recruitment and management.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss youth volunteering in more detail, please feel free to get in touch.
Thank you for your time and for the important work your organisation does in the community.
From Jessica Bream, Volunteer Support Officer (Next Generation), Community Action Suffolk.
