A reminder of who we are:
We are an informal group for people linked to churches within the reach of Sudbury who are
interested in developing an Eco Church programme and helping their church to care for
nature and the environment. New members are always welcome.
Our occasional meetings are to share ideas, enjoy learning a bit more and explore how we
can make an impact for good and encourage each other in the journey.
I’m delighted to be able to outline some plans for 2025.

We will share news, ideas and plans and take a look at the new Eco Church survey and the
challenges that gives us. Sarah Leedham, manager of Foxearth Meadows, will be able to join
us and share news of plans for the reserve.

will move the venue to St Mary’s Church, Glemsford.
Wednesday 21 May at 5.30 pm: A visit to Mark & Jan’s conservation land in Leavenheath.
This promises to be a fascinating evening. Mark & Jan have explored lots of ways to o enhance
nature’s presence on their piece of land, including wildflowers, pond life and owls.
I will be in touch nearer the time with details of where to meet and where to park. Car
sharing will be helpful.
Monday 8 September at 7.30 pm: An evening with James Carr.
Kindly hosted by St Lawrence Church, Great Waldingfield.
James works for the Environment Agency and is involved in river enhancement projects. He
will be speaking about water habitats and climate resilience and will help us think about any
part we can play for nature in the wider landscape.
