Preventing gaming and gambling harms among young people

6 June 2025 No Comment

Award-winning education to safeguard our digital generation.

We are the UK’s leading charity dedicated to preventing gaming and gambling harms among young people.

Our work bridges the critical knowledge gap between young people’s digital lives and the adults who guide them. We believe in harm prevention through education, empowering the people who can make a real difference.

This July, I’m running a campaign across your area to help protect children from the risks linked to gambling and gaming.

As part of it, we’ve been funded to offer free online workshops for adults who work with or support young people in any way. The training is City & Guilds assured, really practical, and completely free.

Upon signing up here; https://ygam.org/training/community-faith-leaders/book/ , where there are several dates, participants will receive an invitation to the online meeting and instructions of how to get on, with a reminder a week before, 48 hours before and on the day.

Honestly, I’ve been finding it a bit tough to get the word out, but that’s why I’d love to build on the local network. Last year, over 500 community and faith leaders took part, and the feedback was incredibly positive.

So if you think this might be useful for someone you know, I’d be really grateful if you could share it—or even join yourself if it feels relevant.

Thanks so much, for any help you can do—I really appreciate it. Also if you have any questions, feel free to ask, I’m always happy to clear things up

Kindest regards,

Thomas
