Every item of food you donate goes directly to help those struggling in our community, and we are truly grateful for your continued support. Sadly the need continues to rise and our stocks have reduced again.

Over the summer holidays we see a significant increase in the number of hungry children locally due to the lack of free school meals, the added costs of having children at home for 6 weeks plus the need for new school uniform. This places families that usually can manage in to financial crisis and we know this leads to child food poverty.

Local primary schools in and around Sudbury report that 40-50% of their pupils are in child poverty. Therefore at Storehouse we are running a campaign to ‘End Summer Hunger’. We have written to all the schools in the area asking teachers to refer these children to us so that we can provide additional food for the 6 weeks of the summer holidays. We therefore need your help to feed these children with extra donations of food. Please share the attached poster to help this campaign.

Many thanks,

Storehouse
