News from Living Waters

On Sunday 29th June at 6.30pm, there will be a special service when our national leader (Emmanuel Mbakwe) will be present. Members of all churches affiliated to Churches Together in Sudbury & District are invited.

We will also be holding our regular service on Sunday morning, and a separate event on Saturday 28th June at 4:00pm, which will also be featuring our national leader. Both the Saturday service and Sunday evening service will have light refreshments.

Our Saturday event will be more of an “open church day” where we will discuss and answer questions on the history of our church, our beliefs, and our church building.

It is a special weekend because it will be the 50th anniversary of our church building being under our denomination of Apostolic, it will be the 151st anniversary of the building itself, and (for those who look deeply into the history of church denomination) will also be the 100th anniversary of when the “founding fathers” of our denomination separated from their own church and began teaching under the doctrine we now use.

Our regular outreach program called “Popin” continues. This occurs on a Wednesday and Friday morning from 10:00am to 1:30pm. We cook a delicious lunch and have a regular supply of tea and coffee available. Our main purpose for this is to approach those who are struggling in today’s climate to “make ends meet”, and would appreciate a meal and a drink with some friendly and approachable people. Donations towards this are welcome, but not essential.
