Lebanon. Can you please help?
We are all aware of the crisis in Lebanon. At least half the population now lives in poverty. 300.000 are homeless from the port explosion. 1.5m Syrian refugees survive in camps, dependent on aid. Suggestions for contributions:
– World Vision, Christian Aid (mainly working with Syrian refugees we think) and the Lebanese Red Cross.
– Two Evangelical charities operating at scale in Lebanon: https://heartforlebanon.org/ https://www.lsesd.org
– Resurrection Church, known to us personally, is already well involved in ministries of compassion and outreach in Beirut, feeding many families: https://www.rcbeirut.org
– A ministry to foreign domestic workers, many of whom are now homeless on the streets: https://thisislebanon.info/donate/
– Dr Stephen White, English HM of the large Lebanon Evangelical School in Beirut is appealing for loans or donations to enable the school’s autumn programme.

We have worked closely with Dr Steve over many years and trust his judgement. The school is a beacon of light. Donate via the website; for loans, email rojill@aol.com for details of the UK bank to pay into.
