Lavenham

Saturday 4th July.  The John Fryth Singers, based in Westerham in Kent, will be singing Choral Evensong at 4.30pm, and warmly invite anyone to join in their worship.  John Fryth was born in Westerham and helped William Tyndale translate the Bible into English.  4th July is John Fryth Day, the day he was martyred in 1533.  The John Fryth Singers includes members of the choir of St Mary’s Parish Church in Westerham, together with friends of the Music Director, Michael Barlow.  The organist will be Graham Powell, from St Peter’s, Limpsfield, and the service will be taken by the Rev. Andrew Reid, curate of St Mary’s, Westerham.
