Most activities of Churches Together in Sudbury & District are suspended during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2021 – 18-25 January
A combined act of worship and AGM was suggested. It is unlikely that this will be possible.
We hope individuals, and individual churches, will mark the week using resources downloaded from the Churches Together in Britain & Ireland website, https://ctbi.org.uk/ . Materials have been prepared by the Monastic Community of Grandchamp in Switzerland. Printed versions are not available this year.
The events listed below will take place only if circumstances permit.
22 February to 7 March – Fairtrade Fortnight
Thursday 22 April – Open Forum, 7 for 7.30pm
Sunday 9 May – United Service for Christian Aid, 6.30pm
Sunday 9 to Saturday 15 May – Christian Aid Week
Sunday 16 May – A Rocha Open Air Service, 3pm at Foxearth Meadows Nature Reserve
Sunday 23 May – Pentecost
Thursday 8 July – Open Forum 7.30pm (BBQ from 6.30pm?)
Sunday 12 Sept – A Rocha Open Air Service, 3pm at Foxearth Meadows Nature Reserve
Monday 4 October – AGM & Open Forum, 7 for 7.30pm
Sunday 17 October – United Service, 6.30pm, led by Eden’s
Sunday 5 December – United Service for Hospice, 3pm, in St Peter’s
Churches are using post, phone, email or the internet to maintain contact with their members, and some have limited opening from 2 December 2020 – for details please ask individual churches. Storehouse, Abi’s Footprints, Number 72 and others continue to assist the needy in our area._
Prayer Breakfasts will resume when possible.
Meanwhile, there are weekly email prayer updates, and Saturday morning catch-up and prayer sessions via Zoom.
