Margaret King, Team Rector of the north Essex parishes that adjoin the Sudbury area, writes: We have just had a wonderful pilgrimage to a Christian Retreat House down in Cornwall: Trelowarren House in the Lizard. They are desperately looking for a cook and have sent me this notice in case there is anyone out there who would love a change of scenery (it is spectacular down there).

Cook/housekeeper required

Over the past two years Trelowarren Retreat has established a superb reputation for its hospitality. The retreat is situated on the Lizard Peninsula in South West Cornwall, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with some of the best beaches in the country close by.

We now have a vacancy for a cook/housekeeper. This position is pivotal to the well-running of the retreat and is a key role within the organisation. We realise that it will be an extraordinary person who will fill this role.

The position offers a wonderful opportunity  to cater for a diverse customer base and to creatively develop new signature dishes.

The post would be ideally suited to someone who has a passion for food, and appreciates the finer things in life. An in-depth understanding/gifting in ‘topnotch’ hospitality is essential.
