Christian Aid Week 2026
Some of the envelopes that were delivered went to one of the Sudbury drop-off points, which together received £527, while in Newton, there was a drop-off point at The Saracens’ Head, which received £55.
Our final total for 2026 was £2,606, made up of:?

Some people will have given direct to Christian Aid, and their contributions won’t be included in these amounts, but all go towards the work of Christian Aid.
Also, but not included above, in Glemsford there was a coffee morning and envelopes in church, while a separate collection in Lavenham brought in £918.
Gift Aid will increase many of the sums quoted in this letter.

Next year, Christian Aid Week will be 9-15 May 2027. We hope this year’s helpers will be able to help again, and we always welcome new people.
We now have a final figure. This is extremely late this year, due to a combination of factors including holidays and ill health. However, there were no delays in getting the bulk of the money to Christian Aid, to further their work around the world. It was banked the day after it was counted, in the last week of May. The late contributions were banked in early July.
