Charity Cake Stall for Christian Aid – Sat 9th Oct

17 September 2010 No Comment

St Gregory’s Church will be running a Charity Cake Stall in Sudbury Market on Saturday 9th October. We hope many from other churches will help too.

The money raised will support a Christian Aid project to reduce chronic poverty and hunger in Burkina Faso for nearly 1 million people by adapting the environment to grow more crops. This country, in West Africa, remains one of the poorest in the world. A special grant means that every £100 will be turned into more than £400.

Can you spare an hour that morning to serve on the stall? Offers, please, to Caroline Mountstephen (372603).

Can you help by baking a cake? Please bring your cakes to the stall (by Gainsborough’s statue) between 8.30 and 10 am on the morning. If this is not possible, contact Malcolm Snow (374096).

Do you like eating cake? Pop along and buy one (or more!). The stall will be there until all the cakes are gone.
