The Family and Community Network (Number 72) has now re-opened following the easing of lockdown restrictions. The drop-in centre in North Street will initially be operating on a reduced hours basis from 9:30am-12:30pm Wednesdays and Thursdays only. One-to-one meetings are available at other times and on other days of the week, by appointment.

To coincide with our re-opening we are also pleased to announce that we have been joined by two new team members…

Ruth Ridge has set up an email prayer network to circulate requests, resources, and good news stories that are sent to her. In addition, Zoom Prayer Meetings are now happening on Saturday mornings. Volunteer delivery drivers needed.

Storehouse provides emergency food for those who can’t afford even the basics. Many of our individuals and families can’t get to us to collect their food. This could be because they don’t have transport, are disabled and housebound, shielding or quarantined due to Covid or simply can’t carry the weight of food we give them.

Richard Stanford, a member at St John’s Methodist Church, has completed his journey down the river Stour from Sudbury to Cattawade in a boat of his own making to raise funds for Christian Aid.  Anyone who wishes to add to his sponsorship can do so via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Stanford2020 .

picture of Richard’s boat is attached.  The bottom is an old tabletop, the seat a chair from Bradfield chapel and the prow comes from the Stowmarket manse!
