Books of Condolence
Many churches will be open this week for reflection and for people to sign a book of condolence.
Among them are:
All Saints’ Church in Church Street, Sudbury, which is planning to be open between 10 am-12 noon and 2-4 pm this week. (St Gregory’s Church is closed for a few weeks, for electrical work.)
Acton and Great Waldingfield 10am-4pm.
Long Melford, Alpheton and Shimpling when the churches are open.
Boxford, Edwardstone, Groton, Newton and Little Waldingfield during daylight hours.
St John’s is open for quiet prayer and reflection Friday 10am -4pm and Saturday 10am-12 midday.
Special services on Sunday 18th September to reflect on and give thanks for the life of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Acton 9.30am, Great Waldingfield 11am, Bures Baptist 10.30am, Edwardstone and Little Waldingfield 9.30am, Boxford and Newton Green at 11am and 6pm at Groton.
Sudbury Baptist will be holding an hour of prayer and reflection on Sunday evening, time tbc.
Books of Condolence opened in the Mayor’s Parlour at Sudbury Town Hall on Friday 9th September and will close on Tuesday 20th September at 5pm. Opening Hours Monday – Saturday: 8 am to 7 pm, Sunday – 10 am to 4 pm.
