Prayer Breakfasts take a break during August.
The next is on Saturday 6 September at St John’s Methodist Church, Sudbury, from 8 to 9.30am for a light breakfast, a time of fellowship and a time for prayer.

Kettle & Fish is a Christian Community Café. Volunteer helpers come from various local churches. It is usually open every Thursday except the first in the month.
Kettle & Fish is next open on Thursday, 14 August. Please do drop in and see us then. We will be serving the same delicious food and providing the same friendly welcome as always, 10am to 1.30pm at Suffolk Road Church, next to Aldi.

‘Unlimited’ (5-9 August) is a Scripture Union holiday for young adults with learning disabilities and is led by Helen Vinter and her daughter Harriet who used to worship in Sudbury before moving to Norfolk. There are Sudbury folk on the volunteer team. They’d value your prayers for the holiday and invite you to download and use the prayer leaflet .

We have monthly social meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month in Sudbury – Everyone welcome.
Subscription is £3.50 per meeting, which includes Tea/Coffee and Biscuits, plus a free raffle ticket.
Our Programme for the next three months is:
August 21st – Our Afternoon Tea will be held at Painters @ The Angel, Friars Street, Sudbury at 2.30pm.
The cost will be £12.70 per person and includes Tea/Coffee, ‘Tea’ sandwiches, Scone and Cake.

We have been asked by a member of St Gregory’s if we could share items we need urgently and items we take regularly so that the Christian Community in Sudbury are more aware of how they can help.
Urgent requests at present are:
Double bedframes and mattresses
2 seater sofas.
What the Depot takes :
Double and single bedframes and mattresses.
2 seater sofas
Chests of drawers
Bedside cabinets
Small dining tables and chairs.
Coffee/side tables.
Microwaves/kettles/toasters/slow cookers/air fryers.
Towels/tea towels/bedding.
Crockery/cutlery/saucepans and bakeware.

Revd Andrew Doarks will be returning from sabbatical on Monday 4th August.
Andrew can be heard on BBC Radio 4 next Sunday, 27 July, at 7.15pm in a programme about Simon of Sudbury entitled “Don’t Lose Your Head!” The programme was recorded several months ago, in Sudbury and Canterbury.
