Although having originally trained as a curate, Chris found his spiritual gifting was in Bible teaching and for the last 50 years has taught in venues throughout the U.K. and Europe. Also, with his wife Lindy, Chris has led numerous tours to Israel.

There are no Prayer Breakfasts during August; they resume on Saturday 7 September at Lavenham Parish Church, 8 to 9.30am as usual.

In view of the increasingly disturbing news from Hong Kong I thought that we should all pray for a peaceful resolution and for God to safeguard His servants working there. As we will not be together at prayer breakfast until September please include a request for prayer for Hong Kong and China and to include their congregations.

A huge thank you to all those who responded to my cry for more helpers for our holiday club plans. Sadly, the response from families was very small indeed and we ended up having to cancel. I would have worried it was due to us being churches were it not for the fact that a similar response was experienced by other schemes funded with County Council money in our area. The AGM of Churches Together in Sudbury and District will be held on Monday 7th October at 7.30pm at the Salvation Army Hall, Sudbury.  It is at this meeting that the chairperson and officers of CTiSD are elected.  If you would like to stand or to nominate someone, please use the Nomination-form-2019 and submit to Ruth Ridge by 16th September.  Please note that all nominations need to be endorsed by your church leader.
