Sponsored canoe trip

In August, ten people canoed along the River Stour from Wissington to Stratford St Mary. They included John Boardman, Richard Stanford and Jane Martland, all from St John’s Methodist Church in Sudbury, and others from further afield. The weather was favourable, but low water levels and fallen trees presented a few challenges! This year the event supports a Christian Aid project in Kenya, Supporting children and orphans with HIV/AIDS and attracts an amazing 17:1 matched funding. The amount more

Prayer Breakfast on Saturday 15th September is at St Gregory’s, in the church, 8 to 9.30am as usual for a light breakfast and a time of prayer.

On Saturday 22nd September we will be at Sudbury Salvation Army, Station Road (NOT at Wells Hall Old School).

Saturday 6th October, morning. Easy going along the Valley Walk with distances of 0.5, 1, 3 or 5 miles.

This walk raises people’s awareness of dementia and the services available and raises money for Decaf, which is part of the Bridge Project in Gainsborough Street as well as a café in Hadleigh. Last year 256 people took part.
