For the first ramble of 2013 we meet at Rodbridge picnic site car park at 2pm next Sunday 13th January.
As the ground is so wet at present I have found a route that avoids field paths and uses part railway walk and other tracks and bridleways that (mainly) have some sort of surfacing (still muddy in places though for those that like that sort of thing!). However there is about a mile on a quiet minor road, but I think this is better than trudging through sticky mud. Distance is about 4½ miles.
Rodbridge car park is to the west of the B1064 Sudbury to Melford road at grid ref TL857436.
As is usual, if the weather is really bad we will probably cancel this walk – so if in doubt please ‘phone me at lunchtime (01787 248128).
