Resurrection Church

Lebanon has once again been engulfed in war, with hundreds of thousands fleeing from the South, Beqaa, and other cities and villages in search of safety in more secure areas. One of our leaders, on his drive home today, was shocked with what he saw:

“There are so many displaced people from the South. These people are sheep without any shepherd. They are everywhere along the highways, cars broken down in some cases, and stacks of mattresses tied to the roofs of cars. Cars full of families. People have parked all along the side streets and are settling down to sleep in their cars tonight.”

Today alone, 492 people have been killed, including 35 children and 58 women, while at least 1,645 others are wounded in targeted airstrikes affecting multiple regions across the country. Many people are reaching out to us, asking for shelter and homes to host them. Our congregation and pastors who reside in southern Lebanon have already evacuated, and our church is now in emergency mode, preparing to respond.

“My wife’s entire family is fleeing from the South. Seven families, all her relatives and cousins, are desperately seeking shelter. They need a place to stay. We are really hoping the church can help us.”

As a response to this crisis we are witnessing, Resurrection Church is establishing an emergency fund to provide relief and pastoral care to those in need. We remain committed to living like Jesus—caring for people and making disciples of Christ.

Prayer Requests

The challenges our country faces are immense, but we believe in the power of prayer! We ask you to stand with us in prayer for:

•              Ask God to bring peace and comfort to the hundreds of thousands who are displaced from their homes. Pray that, through their hardships, many would encounter the love of Christ and be drawn to Him.

•              Lift up our emergency fund efforts as we seek to provide relief and pastoral care. Pray that God would abundantly provide resources to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of those affected, and that our care would open hearts to the message of salvation.

•              Our community service and medical care team as they are on standby, ready to cater to the urgency of the situation.

•              Pray that in the midst of war and uncertainty, God’s presence would be felt in powerful ways. Ask that His peace would draw many into relationship with Him, and that our church would remain a beacon of light, leading others to become disciples of Christ.

Your Help Matters!

Please consider supporting our Emergency Crisis Fund, which will enable us to provide both physical relief and spiritual care to those in need, as we continue our mission of making disciples of Christ in the midst of this crisis.

Your support—whether financial, through prayer, or by spreading the word—can make a tangible difference. By contributing, you enable us to continue being a source of hope and care for those facing the heaviest challenges.

SOS PRAYER

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and concern. The situation in Lebanon is becoming more critical by the hour, and we urgently need your support.

The Bekaa Valley and the South of Lebanon are being heavily bombed, with airstrikes that hit civilians and even ambulances not just militants.

Hundreds of lives have been lost today, and many are fleeing from the South to the North in search of safety. Schools have been forced to close due to the violence, and many are now filled with displaced Lebanese and refugees seeking shelter.

Many friends and families have contacted me, urgently seeking refuge, either at my home or at the Life Center.

We are trying to help, but we have very little time—just one hour to find them shelter and accommodation as they are leaving their homes due to immediate threats.

There are reports that churches in the South have also been bombed, but we remain united in prayer.

The church here is ready to respond, standing firm in faith.

Many believers and Christians are calling out for help in this desperate time of need.

We urgently ask for your prayers—pray for protection, for peace, and for God’s intervention. Your prayers are powerful, and together we can stand strong through this crisis.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

In faith and hope,

Said Deeb
