Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
The aims of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity are
° To pray as Christ prayed ‘That they may be one’.
° To pray for the unity of all Christian people as we share in Christ’s ministry.
The Week of Prayer offers opportunities to meet and pray with fellow Christians of different denominations.
The theme for 2013 is What does God require of us?
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2013 comes to us from an ecumenical group in South India. They have reflected upon their own context and offer to us a theme that calls us to respond to the obligations to act justly in the world.
The text is taken from Micah 6.6-8.
This year we are continuing with our partnership with Christian Aid, who have participated in the preparation of materials. You will find within the resources some important pointers to the vital work of Christian Aid in the relief of poverty and advocacy of justice in changing our world.
