Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2022 – UPDATED

The Week of Prayer is international and offers local opportunities to meet and pray with fellow Christians of different denominations.

In the Sudbury area we usually observe the eight days from Saturday to Saturday, and this year the dates are 15 to 22 January.

The Covid situation has prevented the usual programme. Please join as many as you are able:

Day 1: Saturday 15th January, 9 – 10 am, Prayer Time via Zoom (contact Ruth Ridge on: ruthkridge@gmail.com for the link).

Day 2: Sunday 16th January, 6:30 pm, United Service at Sudbury Salvation Army,
led by Lieutenant Rachel Hepburn.

Day 3: Monday 17th January, 12:30pm, a reflection by a local church leader *

Day 4: Tuesday 18th January, 12:30pm, a reflection by a local church leader *

Day 5: Wednesday 19th January, 12:30, a short service at St Mary’s Church, Boxford

Day 6: Thursday 20th January, 12:30pm, a reflection by a local church leader *

Day 3: Monday 17th January, 12:30pm, a reflection by a local church leader *

Day 8: Saturday 22nd January, 9 – 10 am, Prayer Time via Zoom (contact Ruth Ridge on: ruthkridge@gmail.com for the link).

* The reflections by a local church leader will be live on the CTiS&D Facebook page  at 12:30pm and available at any time after that

We hope individuals, and individual churches, will mark the week using resources downloaded from the Churches Together in Britain & Ireland website, https://ctbi.org.uk/ .

Materials for this year have been prepared by the churches of the Middle East. The focus is the story of the Magi visiting the Holy Family in Bethlehem. For a fuller introduction please see the CTBI website as above.
