Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2022
The Week of Prayer is international and offers local opportunities to meet and pray with fellow Christians of different denominations.
In the Sudbury area we usually observe the eight days from Saturday to Saturday, and this year the dates are 15 to 22 January.
Uncertainty over the Covid situation has prevented the usual full programme. We hope the following will be possible:
Day 1: Saturday 15th January, 9 – 10 am, Prayer Time via Zoom (contact Ruth Ridge on: ruthkridge@gmail.com for the link).
Day 2: Sunday 16th January, 6:30 pm, United Service at Sudbury Salvation Army
Day 5: Wednesday 19th January, 12:30, a short service at St Mary’s Church, Boxford
Day 6: Thursday 20th January, 7 for 7.30pm, Open Forum (venue tbc)
Day 8: Saturday 22nd January, 9 – 10 am, Prayer Time via Zoom (contact Ruth Ridge on: ruthkridge@gmail.com for the link).
A daily reflection by a local church leader, posted on the CTiS&D Facebook page.
We hope individuals, and individual churches, will mark the week using resources downloaded from the Churches Together in Britain & Ireland website, https://ctbi.org.uk/ .
Materials for this year have been prepared by the churches of the Middle East. The focus is the story of the Magi visiting the Holy Family in Bethlehem. For a fuller introduction please see the CTBI website as above.
