Vulnerable Adult Training

4 February 2011 No Comment

Most churches will be aware of the need to have Child Protection Policies in place. Perhaps less will be aware of the need to also have policies relating to dealing with Vulnerable Adults. It is perhaps difficult to clearly define a ‘Vulnerable Adult’, but the term will include those with special needs, those who are long-term sick, those involved in substance misuse and those less able to look after themselves because of age.

To help with this, we would like to invite you to join with us at Sudbury Baptist Church for a half-day training session on Saturday 12th March, which will be led by Rev’d Richard Lewis, a Regional Minister in the Eastern Baptist Association. The session will run from 9.30am to 1pm, with a coffee break in between. We will also be serving coffee on arrival from 9am. We do have the use of the St Gregory’s School car park.

It is the type of event that would interest anyone involved in visitation and pastoral care.

The event is free of charge, but you will need to register in advance to attend.

To register, please contact Paul Mizen on 01787 375178 or email administrator@sudburybaptistchurch.co.uk by 28th February.
