The Horror in Syria 

We feel so helpless as we see the carnage. What can we do?

Why not:

– Pray for leaders to negotiate a peace deal – soon!

– be informed of some Christian views on peacemaking: e.g.  http://www.jointpublicissues.org.uk

– Support pressure groups gathering worldwide support for humanitarian measures: see the Avaaz petition at https://secure.avaaz.org/campaign/en/uk_aleppo_debate_sam/?cLFbcab and add your name if you agree. Every voice can count. Ideas like no-fly zones, safe areas being discussed in the UK Parliament today (Tuesday).

– Support relief organisations working at the sharp end like Open Doors(http://opendoorsuk.org) Global Hope Network International  (based in Suffolk) www.GHNI.org and Home of Hope, serving Syrian refugee street children in Lebanon (www.homeofhopelebanon.org) – or others known to you.
