Storehouse Harvest Collection

We want to thank those churches who have already chosen to collect donations at their harvest celebrations for the Storehouse foodbank, as well as give others an opportunity to join in.

In the Stour Valley area there are families and individuals in who are struggling to put food on the table. Maybe because of rising food and fuel costs. Maybe because of unexpected crises such as redundancy, illness, relationship breakdown, benefit delay or even an unexpected large bill. Whatever the reason, it means that they going hungry unless someone like us can step in and help.

Together, as local Christians, we can help to stock up the Storehouse Foodbank – ready to help those in need over the coming Autumn months.

Our shopping list includes cereal, milk, sugar, tinned vegetables, tinned soup, pasta, rice, tinned meat and fish, fruit juice, biscuits, tea and coffee.

You can also download our Harvest publicity materials from our Harvest webpage to make your life easier. We also have printed generic shopping lists available on request.

Once you have held your harvest event, food can also be dropped off at any one of our Storehouse Foodbank Collection Points. We can also arrange to collect large donations. Please email: storehouse@stourvalleyvineyard.org or call 07973 710905 to arrange a collection.

Meanwhile, if your church or organisation has now become a Storehouse Collection Point and it is not listed, and you would like to be, please let the team know.

On behalf of the Storehouse Team, a huge thanks from us all.
