St Valentine’s Day Walk
18 February 2010

Nine hardy souls enjoyed a Sunday afternoon stroll from Stoke by Nayland, on 14 February 2010. The circular route took us along the banks of the River Box, through Thorrington Street, then near the River Stour past Tendring Hall Park (the Hall, built about 1784 and designed by John Soane, was demolished in 1955). The final ascent gave us distant views of three hefty bulls and took us back to our starting point via the prominent 15th Century church. The temperature was low but spirits were high and we were blessed with bright sunshine. The ramble was organised by Men in Christ Sudbury.
