Outing to Leicester

Sudbury History have spare places for an outing on Thursday 18th July, to Leicester – Richard III Visitor Centre. The Visitor Centre showcases the life of King Richard III and the story of how his remains were discovered in 2012. The centre opened in 2014 on the site of Greyfriars, the medieval friary in whose church the King was buried. The cost of transport is £15. The entrance fee is to be confirmed. Nearby are the Cathedral and the Guildhall . The coach leaves Sudbury bus station at 9am and is expected to depart from Leicester at about 4pm. The journey is approximately 2½ hours.
