National Day of Reflection 2021
The National Day of Reflection, coordinated by the charity Marie Curie and officially supported by the Church of England, will designate a special day to reflect on collective loss and grief.
On Tuesday 23 March 2021 there will be a national minute’s silence at 12 noon to create a moment that shows support for the millions of people who’ve been bereaved.
Some local churches will be marking this day.
St Gregory’s will be open for longer: for candle lighting, quiet reflection, and prayer. A member of the clergy will be in the church from noon to 8pm in case anyone wants to talk. There will be a service of prayer and reflection at 6pm and those who are unable to attend in person will be able to watch it live via the church’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/stgregorychurchsudbury .
We will also be tolling the bell with other churches at midday, and Cheryl our Rector will be leading prayers with the Mayor outside the Town Hall at that time.
