Mali Development Group

John Hedge writes: I would be grateful if the News could include information about the Mali Development Group Open Morning on 18th November at the Town Hall- see poster.

This is being hosted by Rob Spivey and myself and members will be sharing information about our work, including video and photographs.

This is an important time for Mali Development Group. The first year of our major Comic Relief funded health project in Yanfolila had produced really good results. During Rob Spivey’s mayoralty there was activity to link Sudbury with Yanfolila, the main centre of the scheme, and local people contributed a good deal to the work which led up to the project.

We have also  continued to support the excellent work of Kader Keita with street children in Bamako, but we do want to spread the word and involve more people, so please help us with that. MDG has developed a leaflet to give people an idea of how they can help.
