Lead theft & B.Hol. Stalls in Lavenham Churchyard

Dear All,

Some terrible news and very demoralising, but we’re going to kick start our roof appeal with stalls in the churchyard this B.Hol Monday which will at least boost morale.  Selling anything that can (legally!) be sold incl. cakes etc…. 10am-3pm.

Lots of people will be milling around the village for the carnival parade at midday (from Mkt Square, past church, to recreation ground), and heading for the recreation ground for the vintage car display and other displays.

Any help with items to sell and some help manning stalls  (just come along and see if help is needed  – nothing formally organised) would be greatly appreciated.  BBC Look East weather for Monday currently is ‘Dry’.

Estimated replacement cost no less than £150,000.  Max. insurance payout is only £7,500.

Please feel free to forward around – the more publicity & support the better!

Greetings,

Stephen.
