Health Awareness Day – Saturday, 2 July 2022, 10 am – 4 pm
Hardwicke House Group Practice and Siam Surgery Patient Partnership Group are delighted to announce that our Health Awareness Day will now take place on Saturday, 2 July 2022 at Sudbury Town Hall (having been postponed for the last two years due to the pandemic).
This is an event for everyone in Sudbury and surrounding villages to come along to learn about and experience the extensive range of health care support groups and professional services available in the Sudbury and surrounding areas.
To date, we have over 20 different organisations taking part encompassing a wide variety of health issues such as nutrition, physical activity, mental health, diabetes, mental health, first aid and community defibrillation demonstrations, heart disease, cancer services, dementia, hospice care, help with transport to and from medical appointments and many more. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to have pulse and blood pressure checks amongst others.
Representatives will include Healthwatch, Upbeat, Suffolk Family Carers, Macmillan Cancer Services, Success after Stroke, Our Special Friends, St Nicholas Hospice, Gryphon, Citizen Advice Bureau, GoStart, Sudbury u3a, The Christopher Centre Boots (health eating), Allied Physio and more. There will also be a children’s table with fun tasks to complete.
Refreshments will be provided by The Bridge Project.
