Due to gloomy weather forecasts, we postponed the summer’s evening at Maureen’s riverside reserve, which was due to happen on Wednesday 26 July, but we’ve come up with a new plan, which we hope will work for people, and which also will be timed better for seeing dragonflies and damselflies.  This is the new plan:

A Visit to Maureen Morris’ riverside reserve in Monks Eleigh

Wednesday, 16 August at 2.30 for 3.00 pm

Afternoon tea and cake will be served from 2.30 pm and at 3.30 pm Maureen will lead a guided tour of her ‘Quiet Garden’ reserve.

Maureen assures me she has plenty of chairs, and refreshments will be provided, so just bring yourselves (plus binoculars and insect repellent, maybe).  Parking is in front of Maureen’s house –‘Arisaig’, Back Lane, Monks Eleigh IP7 7BA – and also at the entrance to her land west of the line of houses of which ‘Arisaig’ is the last.  (See attached map ).  I will place a chalk board at this entrance.

It will be helpful if you could share cars, and also let me know if you are planning to come.

And a reminder of our next event to look forward to:
