Easter Egg Collection – Can you/your church support us this March?
This Easter, Home for Good Suffolk are hosting 11 activities across Suffolk to help connect, support and bring together children and young people who are fostered, adopted or who live under special guardianship – and those caring for them!
We’d love to be able to bless them all with an Easter Egg.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
As a local Christian charity we are looking to local churches in Suffolk to help us collect
Easter Eggs weighing between 96 -127gm’s (around £1.25). We anticipate needing around 300 eggs.
This gesture will not only bring joy to these children but will also communicate that the church loves and cares for them.
Whether you church can collect 20 or many be even a few more, we’d love to hear from you. All eggs need to be received by Thursday 28th March so they can be distributed to our Activity Hosts.
If your church would like to take part please contact hello@homeforgoodsuffolk.org.uk so we can arrange to collect from you before our deadline above.
Together, we can make a difference.
Did you know…
In the UK 1 child goes in to care every 15 minutes and in Suffolk alone, 375 new children enter the care system each year. Many of these children need a temporary home (fostering) while assessments and decisions are made. They may return to their birth families, however when reunification is not possible, children then need a forever home (adoption).
Home for Good Suffolk continues to reach over 220 families per year through education events and support groups, through family events, and 1:1 support. We also work in partnership with Churches, and we are keen to connect with anyone wanting to know more about fostering/adoption.
Attached is a slide you may wish to adapt and use for your communications.
Every Blessings
