Churches Together Suffolk

Churches Together Suffolk AGM is on Wednesday, 14 October at Stowmarket Citadel.

The format is a bit different this year. Simon Goddard (Regional Minister for the Central Sector (Suffolk) of the Eastern Baptist Association), is our new moderator. He has arranged for all the Suffolk church leaders to join together to sign a new covenant of commitment and sharing. In addition, there will be a demonstration of tabletalk www.table-talk.org and an opportunity to buy the tabletalk materials at half-price. ( i don’t know if you’ve come across tabletalk before but it’s a 30 minute game which aims to, ‘provide a safe place for people to begin to explore, articulate and engage in conversations about the big and not so big questions of life.’).

In addition this year, there will also be an informal Buffet Tea with the church leaders at 6.30pm with the express aim of providing an opportunity for the church leaders to meet folk – like you! – who do the grassroots stuff in the County so that you can help shape the church leaders’ thinking.

Simon is hoping that a formal delegation of at least two representatives of CTiS will be able to attend but, so long as you give me numbers for catering purposes there is no limit on numbers.

I do hope you can come! If the format proves enjoyable and worthwhile, the thinking is that we should have more get-togethers like this with the church leaders.
