Churches Together and Corona virus
Some activities of Churches Together in Sudbury & District and member churches are suspended during the coronavirus outbreak. The CTiS&D Prayer Group continues by email and Zoom. Churches use post, phone, email or the internet to maintain contact with their members, and most are now open: for details please ask individual churches. Kettle & Fish opens on certain dates. Storehouse, Abi’s Footprints and others continue to assist the needy in our area. (Notice revised 2 January 2022)
Ruth Ridge wrote in March 2020:
Dear Friends, these are strange times in which we are living. In the light of government guidance, most churches have been asked to suspend public worship and all social and fellowship events and Churches Together will be following this guidance too.
This means that Enabling Group meetings and Forums are cancelled until further notice, as are Kettle and Fish and Prayer Breakfast. Although we are currently unable to meet together, this does not stop us from holding one another in prayer and continuing to support one another practically in whatever way that we can. Church News will continue to circulate information each week and we hope to set up an online prayer network as well as bible prophecy online courses in due course too.
In the mean time we hold these words from Philippians 4 as help and comfort:
The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
