All are welcome to the Open Forum on Wednesday 26 June at Bures Baptist Church at 7.30pm, preceded by a BBQ at 6.30pm. The main focus of the meeting was not confirmed at the time of going to press. There will be a chance to learn more of the varied activities of CTiS&D, and to express your views.

On Saturday 29 June, Future Vision has its AGM and BBQ at 6pm at All Saints Middle School. The AGM is usually quite informal and is a chance to hear about FV’s work and workers, and perhaps your last chance to visit the school which is due to close in July. Contact Chris Rowe for tickets – c.m.rowe@talktalk.net or call 01787 370844. Future Vision brings the Christian message to many schools in the area through assemblies, lessons, clubs and Open the Book.

In May, there were three major events on consecutive Sundays, all well attended and successful. JagFest, held at a business park near Acton, attracted people of all ages to admire the vehicles and perceive a Christian message. At the service to launch Christian Aid Week, Baptist minister Revd John Clark shared his experiences of mission in Brazil. At Pentecost Praise St Peter’s was filled to capacity to hear an exciting message from international speaker and writer Jeff Lucas who was originally from Ilford, East London.

We are grateful to all who gave, prayed, acted and collected during Christian Aid Week, and helped count afterwards. The amount raised in total and by individuals will be known later.
