Christian Aid
Next week (Sunday 10 to Saturday 16 May) is Christian Aid Week. This year, it will not be possible to hold the usual services, house-to-house or street collections, or any other fund-raising events. Donations can be made online at www.christianaid.org.uk/appeals/key-appeals/christian-aid-week , where you can also create an e-Envelope. Please give via the website where possible or call 020 7523 2269 to donate by telephone. Your gift will help families around the world to overcome poverty and injustice, wherever the need is greatest.
David Stranack, chairman of the Sudbury Christian Aid Committee, writes:
“As many of us cannot go out to spend money in the usual way, eg meals out, days out and holiday trips etc and for some of us our pension still comes in as regular as clockwork, could we be encouraged not just to give our usual amount for Christian Aid Week but add a much larger amount than usual. Some of us are so very blessed while others will be suffering to an even greater extent because of the virus and also loss of income.”
A very special Christian Aid Week celebration
