Carrie Allen sadly died on 15th September, after fighting cancer for several years. Her father, Jamie Allen, was vicar of St Andrew’s, Great Cornard before he and the family moved to New Zealand in 2009. Jamie is Dean of the Taranaki Cathedral Church of St Mary, New Plymouth.
There will be a card to sign at Kettle & Fish on Thursday, if you would like to join Churches Together in Sudbury in expressing our condolences to her family.
A service of celebration for Carrie’s life will be held at St Andrew’s Church, Great Cornard, this Friday (21st September) at 11am. Please do make it if you can. Wear something pink. A collection will be taken at that service to go towards funding a drama group that Jamie is setting up in New Zealand in Carrie’s memory, giving thanks for her talent on the stage.
