A longstanding Christian friend, Fouad Khoury, Headmaster of Tyre Community School, South Lebanon, has asked if anyone can contribute towards maintaining the school. It caters for very low income families. I worked in schools with Fouad before he set up TCS over 10 years ago, and can vouch for the support the school gives to struggling families in Tyre.
The Lebanese economy is in freefall. 3 years ago one $US cost 1500 Lebanese lire. Now it takes 37,500 Ll. Most salaries are paid in Lire so income is vastly less now.
If you feel drawn to offer a contribution, large or small, please email me and I will safely forward the total raised to the school account.
