Kettle & Fish is open this Thursday, 9 May. Please do drop in and see us then.  We will be serving the same delicious food and providing the same friendly welcome as always, 10am to 1.30pm at Suffolk Road Church, next to Aldi.

13, 20, 27 June 2024.

Christian Aid exists to create a world where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty. Last year, 3.3m people benefited from our interventions, and 275 projects were implemented globally.

We are very grateful for the efforts of all the local volunteers who deliver envelopes door-to-door. Across the country the total raised for Christian Aid Week in 2023 was over £2.3million.

The week starts with a United Service on Sunday 12 May at 6.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford.

The speaker is Revd Richard Stainer, World Development Adviser for the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, focussing on his visit to projects in Ethiopia.

This service will now be the central part of an A Rocha UK ‘Act for Nature’ event, which means in effect that there’ll be more on offer (e.g. guided dragonfly ID walks beforehand, refreshments and conversation after).  Of course people are welcome to join us at any stage in the programme and come just to the service if they choose.  More details will be publicised soon.

Bow Down will be taking place again this year on Pentecost Sunday, 19th of May at 9pm on Market Hill. We welcome all who would like to join us in gathering to pray for Sudbury that God’s kingdom would come!
