24-7 Prayer Week

20 June 2017 No Comment

24-7 Prayer Week starts on Sunday – book today!

Stour Valley Vineyard is hosting a week of prayer from 1pm on Sunday 25th June to 10pm on Saturday 1st July 2017 in the Prayer Room at The Christopher Centre.

It comes at a significant time for the church, for the nation and, we very much hope, for yourself too.

But first and foremost, it’s a time for us to soak in God’s presence, to still our souls, to become less transactional and more relational. To not just see prayer as asking. A place where the running out of words and the discomfort of silence gives way to a profound awareness of God’s presence, a place where eternity breaks in. A place where all those frantic prayers wrestling for a blessing, give way to resting in the greatest blessing of all.

To that end, we invite you to spend time with him with no agenda other than to get to be with him, and get to know Him better. Many people talk to God for different reasons and we all have different ways of communicating. The Prayer Room is a creative space to allow us to interact with God in a variety of ways. We may talk, listen, sing, draw, express our feelings through music or simply enjoy the silence.

24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational movement of prayer; mission and justice that began with a single, student led prayer vigil in England in 1999 and has spread, by word of mouth, into 100+ nations. If you would like to find out more visit – www.24-7prayer.com.
