Why don’t ewe take a RAMble around Sudbury?
Following on from the Advent Trail last year, this year Churches Together in Sudbury and District are planning another community trail through town, this time to find the characters from the Nativity story. It is an idea based on the Latin American tradition of ‘Posada’, where Mary and Joseph travel around the local community seeking hospitality with families as a reminder of the journey to Bethlehem. For our trail, all of the nativity figures will travel in groups around different shops in Sudbury town centre during December and children will be encouraged to spot them. Each time they spot some figures they will be able to collect a token from the shop where the figures are displayed and if they can collect 5 tokens they will be able to win a knitted sheep. The sheep will be available to collect at St Peter’s on Saturday 23rd December when we hope to run a Nativity play with a difference as well as having refreshments on offer. Please look out for more details on how to get involved as Advent approaches and if you are able to knit us any woolly sheep, please contact Ruth Ridge (ruthkridge@gmail.com) for a pattern. Many thanks.
