Look what Churches Together in Sudbury & District have been busy with!
By God’s grace, during 2006-7 we have…
Prayed together –
- weekly prayer breakfasts involve almost every CtiS Church
- daily prayer during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
- Day of Prayer & fasting for church leaders (March 4th)
- Worshipped together – five joint services:
- October on ‘Halloween’
- December (Carols with St Nicholas’ Hospice);
- January (Unity week);
- May (Christian Aid week service);
- July (Praise in the Park)
Welcomed new Ministers:
Neville & Karen Andrews; Peter & Karen Avery; Samantha White; and Nigel Ford
Covenanted to come together – over 200 signed up to unite “in prayer & study; in prophetic & public witness; in planning for mission through evangelism & social action; for Christian nurture; and for the building up of the Church locally”
Learned together – at 4 Lent Events - on :
- Jesus in the Gospels
- Slavery
- Sharing faith with others
- Fresh Expressions of Church
Shared an Agape meal together – the final Lent Event at SBC
Planned and discussed together at Quarterly Forums: - Assington Centre - Healing Ministry-New Church at Chilton Woods
Supported projects and campaigns -
- Eden’s Youth Project
- Future Vision & N:Vision
- The Marriage Focus Group-
- Christmas Hampers
- Christian Aid Week
- WHATCH! and WHAC
Been out in the market place - Christmas tree lights - Good Friday - Praise and Baptisms in the Market Square
Run the Kettle & Fish for a 2nd year - and Sudbury Way Inn (suspended in April).
…Also we had lots of fun together!
